Beware Of Fad Weight Loss Programs

----------
Fad weight loss programs come and go with amazing speed. They tout certain elements of truth without revealing the entire truth which makes for an unbelievably easy weight loss program. The three day diet is only one example. The three day diet directs the candidate to eat solely fruit for three days with modest amounts from the other three food groups on the remaining four days of the week. Fruit contains nutrients that are required for optimum health to be sure. Even so there are many vital nutrients that fruit does not have.  A person can burn body fat in this manner, however, it is an unhealthy way to do so.

Some diets ask a participant to ingest almost exclusively protein while removing carbohydrates. The same primary idea as the three day diet. The same basic problem exists as well. The exclusion of any of the food groups removes vital nutrients from the diet. Carbohydrates are the body’s first choice for its energy needs. If no carbohydrates are available the body seeks substitute sources of energy, proteins then fats. Protein imbalances reduce the body’s capacity to regulate water.  Again, a person can burn body fat  in this fashion, but do so at great risk.

The chocolate weight loss program has the appeal to attract many persons that desire to burn body fat. Chocolate has an attraction all its own, yet many people are not cognizant of the fact it also contains large amounts of anti-oxidants. While this is the case for chocolate in all of its various forms, pure cocoa powder is what is called for in the chocolate diet. Most people find straight cocoa powder unpalatable.

The ultra-low fat diet may prove attractive for an eager dieter, thinking not eating fat will certainly help to burn body fat. The removal of all fat from one’s diet sounds as though the excess fat would melt away quickly. Limiting the quantities of fat eaten is an important part of improving one’ health. Yet, if all fat is purged from the diet critical health issues may arise. Small amounts of fat are required in the diet. The body needs fat to process fat soluble nutrients. Without some fat these nutrients are unavailable to the body, even if they are included in the weight loss program.

It may be easier for a person to burn body fat if they eat smaller portions more often. To assure the best of health all four food groups must be contained in the weight loss program. 2000-2500 calories per day is s ufficient for most people. Some very active people may need more, and some women may need less.

Creating a healthy body starts with cyclical exercise and a complete and balanced weight loss program. Healthy bodies burn body fat.
