While on vacation at the beach, parents may talk with their children of the dangers of swimming with sharks.  Along the many miles of Florida coastline come reports of shark sightings.  There are many bad areas in which  to swim at the beach.  Other parents send their children to summer camps after school breaks for the summer.  The only fear for overprotective parents now is the consumption of alcohol with camp counselors. Summer vacation and the consumption of alcohol seem to go hand in hand, however, there are too many high risk activities during summer vacation to make the consumption of alcohol a wise choice.  It makes the decision of swimming with sharks seem a good idea.  Not to mention the fact that abusing alcohol puts the heart at risk.  Often, the mere sight of a shark puts the heart at risk, leading to heart failure.  After school programs and summer camps fail to teach the fact that after the consumption of alcohol the muscles of the heart weaken, which may cause heart failure, or heart attack.  Swimming with sharks and the consumption of alcohol both put the heart at risk for heart failure or heart attack. Both have life threatening affects.

Summer beach vacations are more secure than bad medical reports of alcohol abuse.  A high risk of heart attack causes medical health insurance to become costly. The effects of the consumption of alcohol, becoming intoxicated, are numerous.  Along with lowered inhibition and increased risk of heart failure, consumption of alcohol   causes the body to sweat.  Body sweat leads to body odor, the smell of fermented ethanol.  Inebriation from the consumption of alcohol causes an inability to coordinate voluntary muscle movements (ataxia).  Nystagmus is the scientific name for the loss of the ability to focus the eye and/or  uncontrollable rapid eye movements.  Hypothermia, or below normalo body temperature, may also occur.  The consumption of alcohol on a daily basis causes central nervous system depression, which brings a variety of symptoms including body tremors and increased risk of cancer, not to mention increased chances of heart failure.

With the thought of sky rocketing prices for medical health insurance, Americans are realizing the importance of a good health record.  Cance risk can be associated with  a folate deficiency in the diet.  Folate is a general term that refers the multiple forms of the B vitamin.  Folate deficiency is another affect of alcohol abuse as alcohol inhibits the absorption of folate.  Some further affects from abusing alcohol are:  growth problems with nerve development, damage to the lining of the small intestine, which limits vitamin B and C absorption, cirrhosis of the liver, mild to severe dehydration, and heart failure.

Consuming alcohol can be as dangerous as swimming with sharks.  Alcohol consumption affects every organ of the body.  Parents teach their not to swim with sharks, now learn your body should not swim in alcohol.  These are both high risk activities.
