How To Train Exotic Birds Murray Amazon Double Yellow Head Parrot

Murray, an Amazon double yellow head parrot, is an amazing bird. Known
to be one of the most talkative species of bird, double yellow head
parrots are continually coming up with new ways to entertain. Murray
loves music; he will sing and dance to most any song. Murray is only 3
years old, but is already talking up a storm. Murray is one of the
family pets at DK-Publishers.
Residing in Jacksonville, Florida with his trainer Deborah; Murray
spends a great deal of his time training with his good friend Lucky Bud Roc, American Pit Bull
Terrier. The more time spent with a double yellow head parrot the more
they will bond with their trainer and the more words and phrases they
will be able to learn. Not only can they talk, they can also dance very
well.
Double yellow head parrots need a family/social life; therefore, a
person that has the time to train them is a must. Learning words and
phrases takes time and numerous repetitions. It takes years for a
trainer to turn his double yellow head parrot into a star. Murray has
had some training, but his intensive training has only recently begun,
as Amazon double yellow head parrots typically do not begin speaking
very much until they have gotten to be a couple of years old.
Many double yellow head parrots have a vocabulary that exceeds 440
words and phrases. While Murray’s vocabulary is not quite that
extensive at this point, he does know quite a few words. The following
is a list of words and phrases that are in Murray’s vocabulary.

happy boy, I love you boy, play ball, rooster ball, I’m a rooster boy,

woo, shake, shake it up, you can do it, you wanna shake, he’s a good
boy, do you like it, Murray likes Deborah, go rooster boy. This is a
large part of his current vocabulary and it is continually expanding.
