This is Murray, Amazon double yellow head parrot. Double yellow heads are known to be one of the most talkative breeds of bird. Murray loves music; he will sing and dance to most any song. Only 3 years old, Murray is already a very talkative bird. Murray is one of the family pets at DK-Publishers.

Residing in Jacksonville, Florida with his trainer Deborah; Murray spends a great deal of his time training with his good friend Lucky Bud Roc, American Pit Bull Terrier. The more time spent with a double yellow head parrot the more they will bond with their trainer and the more words and phrases they will be able to learn. Not only can they talk, they can also dance very well.

Double yellow head parrots need a family/social life; therefore, a person that has the time to train them is a must. Learning words and phrases takes time and numerous repetitions. Bird trainers spend years exotic bird training their double yellow head parrots to be stars. Murray has had some exotic bird training, but his intensive training has only recently begun, as Amazon double yellow head parrots typically do not begin speaking very much until they have gotten to be a couple of years old.

It is not uncommon for a double yellow head parrot to have a vocabulary that consists of more than 400 words and phrases. At the time being, Murray‘s vocabulary is not quite as broad as that, however, Murray is still learning. The following is a list of words and phrases that are in Murray’s vocabulary.

This is a large part of his current vocabulary and it is continually expanding.
