God's Purpose For The Earth

----------
Have you ever wondered what God intends to have happen with the earth? Many people have.  Study of the Bible shows us that his purpose for the earth is wonderful.  Jehovah wants happy and healthy people to fill the earth.  We are told that "God planted a garden in Eden" and he "made to grow...every tree desirable to one's sight and good for food."  After creating Adam and Eve, He put them in the paradise home, Eden, telling them "Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it."  Genesis 1:28, 2:8, 9, 15 From this we learn God intended for humans to procreate, to make the entire earth a paradise and to take care of the animals.

Many people think such a scenario could never happen.  Yet, God stated,"I have even spoken it, I shall also do it."  Isaiah 46:9-11, 55:11  God will do everything that He has purposed to do.  He tells us he "did not create [the earth] simply for nothing" but formed it even to be inhabited."  Isaiah 45:18 What kind of people did God want living in the paradise He created?  How long did he want them to live in it?  The answer is found in the Holy Scriptures at Psalm 37:29 and Revelation 21:3,4  "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."

This has yet to take place.  People still get sick and die.  People even fight and kill one another.  This is not what God wanted for us.  What happened to interrupt God's plans?

Genesis tells of  an opposer to God.  This opposer made an appearance in Eden.  He was described as a serpent.  however, this was no simple animal.  Revelation says of him "the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth."  He is also called "the original serpent."  Genesis 3:1, Revelation 12:9  This angel, or invisible spirit creature, made use of  a serpent to mislead Eve.  Much like a ventriloquist can make it seem as though a doll is speaking.  Undoubtedly, this spirit creature was there when God had the earth prepared for humanity.  Job 38:4,7

This brings the question,"If all of Jehovah God's creations are perfect, then who made the "Devil" or "Satan"?  The answer is,"One of  God's powerful spirit creatures turned himself into the Devil."  How can this be?  Take as an example a person who was once decent and honest who becomes a thief.  How does this happen?  This person allows a hurtful desire to fester in his heart.  Then, with continued thought on this hurtful desire, it grows strong in his heart.  Then, when the opportunity is presented, this person may act out this desire he has been harboring.  Read James 1:13-15
