| Spontaneous
cell division: Cancer and its ability to grow People and their pet
dogs are at risk for spontaneous cell division. When this
occurs the body's self-monitoring immune system does not detect the
error in made during cell division which allows the cancerous cell to
continue to reproduce.
Over the years researchers have shown a connection between several different viruses, cancerous tumors and genes called BRCA-1 and BRCA-2. These are tumor suppressor genes which normally control cell growth. It is now known that more than half of all types of cancer are linked to tumor suppressor genes that become cancerous. Included in these cancers are lung cancer, colon cancer, brain cancer, breast cancer, bone cancer and blood cancer. This is a disease that grows by means of unrestrained cell growth. It has the ability to grow in many different locations in the body, in both man and his dog. <>br>It can begin with a lesion in, or an erosion of, the mucous membrane of an organ. Stomach ulcers left untreated that were caused by excessive acidic digestive juices will soon show symptoms such as weight loss or anemia. In dogs adenocarcinoma is the most common type of tumor occurring in the stomach, colon and rectum. A mass maybe detected by abdominal palpation, while petting your dog. These ulcers result from a breakdown of the normal gastric mucosal barrier. They are cautions to help guard against cancer and its ability to grow. A diet with ample amounts of fruits and vegetables rich in antioxidants can help prevent many forms of cancer, although no diet can cure cancer. Humans should avoid taking for themselves and giving excessive amounts of vitamins and minerals to their dogs as this can become harmful and often will accelerate tumor growth. Conventional therapy for ulcers in humans includes avoiding aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid). Prolonged use of aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) can lead to the development of gastric ulcers. It is known that therapeutic doses of aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid), 25mg/kg of bodyweight three times a day, causes mucosal erosion within 2 days in 50% of dogs tested. This is because aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) directly injures epithelial cells and impairs prostaglandin E production. Standard formulations of buffered aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) do not provide sufficient buffering to prevent mucosal injuries which also include damage to local blood vessels and nerves. Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) is rapidly absorbed in the stomach and upper small intestine and hydrolyzed to salicylic acid. In humans, enteric coated aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) causes less gastric irritation, however absorption is less consistent. Salicylate poisoning causes salicylic acid to be sent via extra cellular fluids to kidneys, liver, lungs and heart. Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) toxicosis is usually characterized by signs of depression, fever, hyperapnea, seizures, gastric irritation or ulceration, coma and death. Colon and prostate cancer in humans are associated with diets high in saturated fats, red meat and animal fats. Clinical signs for GI cancer include vomiting, often with blood, diarrhea also with blood, weight loss, constipation and anemia. This
